'Area' or 'map' or 'screen' means a sub section of a city or building or base or whathaveyou, i.e. Where you cross the green area. Many of the steps are dependent on your character's skills. For example, if you're supposed to tell someone something specific, you may not have that dialog option if your character isn't smart enough, or doesn't have a high enough Speech Skill. Items you need to start collecting as soon as you find them: 1x Shovel, 1x Jet, 10x Booze, 10x Beer, 10x Cat's Paw Magazine, all colors of Memory Module, ∞ Super Stimpaks, 1x Wrench, 2x Tool, 5x Spear, 10x Knife, 5x Xander Root, 3x Broc Flower 2x Rope, 1x Lighter 1x Dynamite.
